Located on the south-western edge of London, Ashford was originally a small farming and market town in the early 1900s. Today it’s is a notable commuter town.

Regarding education, what Ashford lacks in quantity compared to other larger towns and cities, it makes u[ for in quality.
The town offers a selection of good primaries, many having academic performances of above 85%. Bodsham Church of England Primary School is considered one of the best with a 99% rating and has also been awarded an “outstanding” grade by Ofsted.
Of the four secondaries serving the town, one of the best is Highworth Grammar School. Rated as “outstanding” by Ofsted following its last inspection.
There is also a private independent school, Ashford School on East Hill, which was founded in 1898.
