Schools & Education
It is all very well living somewhere which is close to good travel links and lots to do, however it is also important for those moving with children that their chosen location has good education provision.
Havant will not disappoint in this regard. The town has a great choice of nurseries and pre-schools for the youngest children.
Primary schools in the town perform well and the vast majority having been inspected by Ofsted have achieved a “good” rating. Bidbury Infant School, St Alban’s Church of England Aided Primary and Warren Park Primary School were even better an awarded Ofsted’s highest accolade of “outstanding”.
Older children filter into several secondaries. There is plenty of choice when it comes to secondary education, however within a two-mile radius of the town there are 4 state schools. All of which have been rated as “good”.
Havant College is a sixth form college located on a single site near the centre of Havant in south east Hampshire It attracts students from a wide area and has a long, well established reputation for quality and high exam pass rates.
South Down College (HSDC) is a Further and Higher Education College providing A Levels, T Levels and vocational courses from three campuses – Alton, Havant & South Downs.
