How It Works
Personal effects destined for Italy are usually transported by either road or sea freight. White & Compnay offer flexible solutions to suit all needs and budgets. To ensure we meet your expectations, we provide customers with two different options for moving goods to Italy:
Part Load
This option is perfect if you don’t need to transport an entire household of goods. Your belongings will be transported to Italy in a shared high-capacity truck, so you’ll only pay for the space you use. Part-loads are ideal for customers relocating to Italy with a limited number of items, making it an excellent, cost-effective choice for those who only need to move a few essentials.
Full Load
If you plan to move your entire household to Italy, we recommend our full-load option. This allows you to take advantage of the entire container, providing maximum flexibility for packing all your belongings.
Our UK packing team will carefully wrap and box up your goods, which will then be transported in our specialist removals trucks to our UK depot. From there, they will be either loaded onto a shipping container or transferred via road to their final destination. While this option is more expensive than our part-load service, it offers much faster shipping and delivery times.

How Long Do Removals to Italy Take?
The average time for removals from the UK to Italy varies based on whether you choose a full-load or part-load service.
For part-load services, since items are shipped as separate consignments, it may take longer for all your belongings to arrive. Generally, transit times range from 7 to 14 days but we will give you an accurate timeframe once we have all of the details of your move.
What Happens Once My Goods Arrive?
Your dedicated account manager will handle all the necessary paperwork and send it to our team in Italy. Once your belongings arrive, they will forward the relevant documents to you and help with customs clearance. After clearing customs, you will be contacted to arrange a convenient delivery time, if not already scheduled.
Navigating customs and bureaucracy in a foreign country, especially Italy, can be challenging. Our local experts are on hand to assist with any confusing or misunderstood processes. We know that moving to Italy can be stressful, so we’re committed to providing ongoing support throughout the entirety of your relocation.

Insurance for Removals to Italy
Despite our best efforts, items can get damaged, move in transit, or go missing from time to time, all of which are outside of our control.
Our team of professional movers always try to minimise such problems during the move and we offer limited liability insurance as is set out in our terms and conditions for BAR members.
However, it is highly recommended that you consider our Marine insurance when shipping a large consignment of items overseas. We recommend you protect your possessions while in transit and storage with our ‘All Risk’ Marine Standard Liability cover.
Marine insurance cover is offered to you on receipt of a completed ‘Overseas Valuation Form’. Such insurance cover is fully comprehensive and ‘All Risk’, and is based on the total value declared by you on your application.
